Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Voting in the New7Wonders Cities campaign ends at 7 am GMT tomorrow, 7 December, and the New7Wonders Cities will be announced from Dubai 12 hours later, at 7 pm GMT.

Along with the votes cast using a range of devices on a variety of platforms, valid postal votes will be added to the campaign total. New7Wonders enabled postal voting for the campaign with postcards that were printed and distributed by the official supporting committees of the participating finalist cities.

“It’s been a campaign of many milestones,” says Eamonn Fitzgerald, Head of Communication at New7Wonders. “At one point we had 1,200 nominees from 220 countries and then everything became concrete when the New7Wonders Cities Panel of Experts listed the 28 Official Finalist Candidates. After that, the voters drilled down from 28 to 21 to 14, and here we are on the eve of finding out their choice of the 7 that will become part of Global Memory.”

Voting on this final day of New7Wonders Cities is still possible across a range of platforms:
www.new7wonders.com, dedicated iPhone and Android apps, international telephone voting lines and, where available, via national SMS.

In alphabetical order, the 14 Official Finalists are: Barcelona (Spain), Beirut (Lebanon), Chicago (United States), Doha (Qatar), Durban (South Africa), Havana (Cuba), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), La Paz (Bolivia), London (United Kingdom), Mexico City (Mexico), Perth (Australia), Quito (Ecuador), Reykjavik (Iceland) and Vigan (Philippines).
