The General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police has created a link to encourage police officers to cast their votes in the Official New7Wonders of Nature global campaign, in which Bu Tinah Island has made it into the elite 28 Official Finalists.
The dugongs, sea turtles and other colorful creatures in the extraordinary coral reef eco-system flourishing by the desert in the United Arab Emirates are surely unaware of the impressive official support they are now receiving from a respected pillar of Emirati society.
According to media reports, participation in the campaign is being encouraged to support the national, Gulf and international campaign — Bu Tinah Island is not at all well known worldwide, in sharp contrast to better-known competitors in the campaign, such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Amazon or the Grand Canyon.
